![]() ![]() After four years of slowly researching and developing the culture and refining the formula, we have finally perfected the recipe and process to make Elation Hard Kombucha. This name translates to how you feel when enjoying our hard kombucha, and also how our team feels when we produce the product. Why did we choose the name Elation Hard Kombucha? Elation to us means happiness and exhilaration. When you consider what you are putting into your body - why would you not choose Hard Kombucha over other alcoholic beverages? The beneficial probiotics can help your body in many ways including more efficient digestion! Other benefits include improved immune and liver functions. So does hard kombucha contain beneficial properties? Yes - hard kombucha still contains all the beneficial probiotics, amino acids, and minerals that are found in non-alcoholic kombucha. This fermentation process is anaerobic (without oxygen) allowing the yeast to thrive and create the high alcohol content. We add a unique in-house yeast and let the beverage ferment for five weeks. Our process to make hard kombucha starts with our in-house kombucha culture brewed with more sugar, fruit juice, and tea than our non-alcoholic kombucha. L enny Boy Hard Kombucha is a fermented, effervescent, refreshing kombucha that contains 6% alcohol with various fruited flavors. Kenna, an expert box folder, sees that each box is assembled and stacked on a pallet before moving to the bottling and packing area of the warehouse. Since starting in August 2021, they’ve quickly become masters of their craft. Stephanie is an ace of label placement, ensuring each box is labeled with impressive speed. The two are a dynamic duo working together to label, fold, and stack hundreds of boxes during their two shifts each week. “We couldn’t find someone since it was only a few hours a week and these two were right across the street at the arts center. “It worked out perfectly,” Lenny Boy owner Nathan Villaume said. Kenna and Stephanie, roommates at a UMAR group home in Charlotte, have found themselves right at home with their new part-time jobs preparing shipping boxes for our bottled kombucha. The database of local bartending gigs is literally a joke. ![]() The class I was in by myself, one-on-one with the teacher, was great. ….so, 3 out of the 4 classes were basically exactly the same, going over the same super basic stuff, and I didn’t really get to learn anything. fourth class was us 2 again, plus another person there for their FIRST DAY OF CLASS. Third class was me +1 other, but it was the other persons first class… so the teacher did the first day lessons with them (which took up most of the class) and had to cram everything she was supposed to go over with me in the last bit. First class was me + 2 others (first class for all of us) My teacher had me practice making layered shots… you can’t layer water with water.? However I WAS able to learn, practice and perfect free-pouring. But if you’re looking to perfect your measurements, practice techniques, and get real hands on practice, you will be disappointed. So if you’re just trying to remember which liquors are in a simple drink, it could work I guess. You practice making cocktails with the bottles of colored water and rubber garnishes that look like baby toys. ![]() A bunch of different-sized glass bottles filled with colored water, rubber lemons and cherries, uncomfortable stools… just not what I expected. Taking a bartending certification class in a classroom set up just like a bar, being able to practice making cocktails, and getting access to a regularly updated database of bars hiring in your area….
